The Tamio platform offers a robust and versatile product management solution, tailored to cater to a multitude of businesses – ranging from SaaS companies, cleaning services, to eBook vendors. Our products are classified into distinct types, each with its unique features. The classifications and the features they offer are:

  1. Physical Products: Physical goods requiring shipping for customer delivery. They support packages, dimensions, custom shipping options, calculated rates, warehouses, variants, and more.
  2. Digital Products: These include online downloadable assets such as digital files, eBooks, and software licenses. Unique features comprise automated file delivery, expiring download links, and specific VAT classifications for EU merchants.
  3. Billing Plans: These represent services or items billed on a recurring basis. A subscription is generated when a customer purchases a billing plan, and these can be managed independently. Multiple currencies and variable billing cycles are supported.
  4. Digital Services: Services such as online hosting, Search Engine Optimization, and web development fall under this category. They support variants and special VAT classifications for EU merchants.
  5. Physical Services: Industries like dog walkers, painters, and cleaning services come under this category. They offer support for variants and dynamic taxes.

Core Features

Multi-Language Support

Tamio recognizes the need for businesses to cater to a diverse customer base spread across different geographic regions. Therefore, we support multi-language configuration for your products' content, including their SEO titles and descriptions. If you are using Tamio Sites or Pages, the system will automatically display the content in the language preferred by your customer. This feature ensures a tailored customer experience and expands your market reach without necessitating an entire inventory recreation.

Multi-Currency Support & Price Conversions

Your business shouldn't be limited by borders. With Tamio's multi-currency pricing models, you can assign different prices to the same item based on the currencies your business supports. Additionally, if your customer's preferred currency is not the default one for a particular product, our system can automatically convert the product's default costs to the customer's currency.

We also cater to advanced use cases where you may need to set acquisition prices and seller-recommended prices for each pricing model. Acquisition prices can help track the profit margins for each item, while the seller-recommended price is used for display purposes on Tamio Sites. As of now, Tamio supports more than 50+ currencies, which can be manually enabled in your account via the Shop Settings section inside your Tamio dashboard.

Stock Management

Efficient stock management is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of your business. Tamio's dynamic stock management system ensures that orders are only processed if there is sufficient stock of the product. You have the flexibility to configure stock tracking and reservations either during checkout or after payment confirmation.

Some key features of our stock management system include:

  • Automations: Automate your restocking process. For instance, you can specify a future stock replenishment – say, 100 items arriving next Tuesday. When Tuesday arrives, the system will automatically update the product's stock.
  • Unlimited Stock: For digital products, digital services, and billing plans that don't require physical stock, you can configure them to have unlimited stock.
  • Warehouses: If you deal with physical products, our system supports multiple warehouses. You can specify variable stock availability for a product across different warehouses. During the checkout process, our system will reserve and distribute stock from the warehouses that can service the customer's location.
  • Negative Stock: Enable this option if you want to keep accepting orders even when the product stock is depleted. This feature helps ensure you don't miss out on potential sales due to temporary stock shortages.

Variations

For businesses that offer multiple variants of the same product or service, Tamio supports the creation and management of product variations. For instance, if you're selling a T-shirt that comes in small and medium sizes, and in blue and red colors, you can create a separate variation for each combination.

Product variations can be configured to include features such as multi-currency pricing, delta or standard pricing, multi-language content, warehouse and stock management, dimensions and weight parameters, custom SKUs, acquisition prices, and seller-recommended prices.

Digital Product Delivery

For businesses that deal with digital goods like eBooks, software, designs, or audio/video content, Tamio provides an efficient and secure way of delivering your digital files to your customers after a successful purchase. We leverage Amazon AWS for storage and data distribution, which is among the most cost-effective solutions in the market. To help you get started, we provide some free storage with all Tamio accounts.

Additional features exclusive to digital products include:

  • Expiring Download Links: Set a time limit for download links to add an extra layer of security.
  • Download Limits: Set a maximum limit on the number of times a product can be downloaded per purchase.
  • Download Control: Gain the ability to block or unblock downloads as required.
  • License Generation: Generate unique licenses for your digital products.

Automated VAT

Running an EU-based business comes with its specific tax obligations. Tamio offers a fully automated solution for VAT rates. We calculate and apply the correct VAT rates on your products based on their category, the customer's billing country, and the jurisdiction of your shop. This simplifies tax management and ensures compliance with EU VAT regulations.

Manual Taxes

For businesses with complex tax requirements, our tax module offers manual tax rates that you can set up according to your specific needs. You can create tax rules for each product, classification, country, or state. To cater to more advanced tax setups, we support postcode filters and payment gateway whitelists.

Affiliate Programs

To boost your sales and extend your market reach, Tamio offers the capability to create affiliate programs for your products. Affiliates can earn a commission from each sale they refer. To make the management of these programs easier, we provide a built-in affiliate management dashboard that supports automated payouts across more than 20+ payment gateways.

Permissions

Whether managing teammates or creating API developer keys, you can customise permissions when accessing Product API resources. The default set of permissions are view, edit, create and remove. Moreover, permissions can be extended down to an individual product level, meaning that you can provide access to specific products on your account.
